Porthcawl Town Carnival
A procession of themed floats and acts makes its way around the town collecting money for charity with a prize for the best float. The procession makes its way to the carnival field where there are stalls, a fun fair and live acts.
 

September
Surf Cult Week
Events include surf contests, music, art, fashion and film, and an outdoor market. The festival ends with the legendary Surfers Ball.
 

Elvis Festival
The Elvis Festival is the biggest gathering of Elvis fans in Europe and attracts Elvis fans and tribute artists from around the world. The Times selected this event as one of their top 20 summer festivals.
 

December
Christmas Day Swim
Hordes of brave souls take to the water for a swim on Christmas Day morning. The number of participants grows every year.
