Kenfig
Hill lies adjacent Pyle about 3.5 miles from Porthcawl. In
addition to the facilities of Pyle Kenfig Hill has its own centre
with a range of shops and medical facilities.
Pyle
Pyle
lies two miles north of Porthcawl and has excellent access to the M4
motorway at both junctions 37 and 38. It also enjoys good
communications with Swansea, Bridgend, Cardiff and beyond through it
bus and train links.
The
parish church of Pyle is said to be built from stones from the
ancient borough and is at times referred to as ‘ the upside down
church’ as the stones of its walls are, unusually, larger
towards the top suggesting that it was built from an earlier
construction with the smaller stones being removed from the initial
construction and placed at the base of the current Church.
Pyle has
a major supermarket together with a range of other shops, petrol
stations and a leisure centre and swimming pool. A two minute
drive from Pyle is Margam Estate as are two golf courses and a
driving range. Country walks are available in all directions.

South
Cornelly lies just 1.5 miles outside Porthcawl and has primarily
modern housing. There is a popular public house, a great
Indian restaurant and a garage. For those struggling with the
cost of fuel there is a regular bus service.
North
Cornelly
North
Cornelly lies just over the motorway from Porthcawl and abuts Pyle
to the west. It has a range of pubs and shops and offers great
access to the countryside.
